Croydon South is a keen supporter of the government-sponsored programs; Healthy School Communities and Active After School Communities program. Students are encouraged to bring a piece of fruit and make healthy choices for snacks and lunch each day.
In recent years the school has adopted a no plastic packaging guideline to reduce the amount of litter and promote an environmentally-friendly atmosphere.

Our school motto is "Growing Together" which means that the entire school community; the principal, teaching staff, school council and parents actively determine the school's direction. Together they are committed to maximising the educational opportunities and the facilities for the students.

We believe that parents are an invaluable support to our curriculum programs both at home and at school. Communication between parents and teachers creates a greater mutual understanding of the curriculum content, and also allows your child's individual needs and interests to be recognised. This enhances the overall teaching and learning environment.
We incorporate literacy skills and Numeracy concepts throughout the entire curriculum and employ a specially trained teacher to provide both early intervention and extension in Literacy and Numeracy.
We place great importance on maximising student welfare and safety and run both a Safety House and Personal Safety Awareness program to reflect this. |
